1.  Look at the data table.
a) Determine which column contains the X data, and which contains the Y data
b) Calculate the correct scale to use for the X and Y axes.
c) Plot the data
d) Connect the data points with a line

2. Look at the graph.  Explain which type of relationship that it shows.

3. Look at the cyclic graph.
a) Explain what type of relationship is shown by the graph
b) Calculate the length of a cycle
c) Label the maxima and minima
d) Using your calculated cycle length, make a prediction as to when the next maximum and minimum will occur

4. Look at the data table.   Calculate the rate of change (using the formula in your reference tables), rounding your answer to the nearest tenth and including the correct units.

5. Using the equation below,  solve for one of the variables,  rounding your answer to the nearest tenth and including the correct units.

For Example:    If  A X  B  = C,      and A is 5 and C is 3, what is B?
Or…..                If A / B = C,   and A is 5 and C is 3, what is B?
Or                      If A X B = C,  and A is 5 and B is 3, what is C?
 

6. Given two dimensions of  a real object, and one dimension of a model,  set up a proportion  and solve for the second dimension of the model,   rounding your answer to the nearest tenth and including the correct units.
 

7. Given a measured and actual value for a certain property, calculate the percent error, (using the formula in your reference tables), rounding your answer to the nearest tenth and including the correct units.
